You could spend a lot of money on Butterfly Tiebacks for an average of $45, or you can create your own for about $7 each! These tie backs have a beautiful ribbon trails to add some elegance to the curtain. These tie backs use organza ribbon to tie around your curtain. We do not recommend using wire to wrap around the curtain as it may damage the curtain itself with tears or eventual rust stains.

Materials needed:

• nylon butterfly

• Organza ribbon (minimum 24? per tieback)

• Scissors

• Glue gun and glue stick

• newspaper

Time required: 15 min.

Age: 10 years old with assistance of an adult when using glue gun.

Start with a nylon butterfly of your choosing. If you want it to be an accent piece, use a contrasting color. For example, if you have a pink room, you can use blue or green. If you want to have a subtle look, use a purple or yellow for a pink room. We recommend a 5? butterfly for tiebacks.

For butterfly decorations that come with a line, remove the line carefully. Pull on the short loose end of the string. This will open up the loop tie around the butterfly so that you are not in danger of cutting the delicate nylon. Once the knot is a safe distance away from the butterfly, snip the nylon line with scissors.

With recent hikes in fuel prices and the growing concerns about the level of oil and other gases left in the Earth, more attention has been paid in the scientific community to research in the area of alternative fuels. While the push for alternative energies has been largely focused on the use of renewable sources like biological materials that can be grown or natural energies like solar power, the biggest revolution in transportation technology could be found right in your sink. The most viable transportation technology of the future may possibly be the production of water powered cars.

The use of water as a means to power a vehicle is something that has come about very recently, thanks to some accidental discoveries in the scientific community. Many people were skeptical of the findings at first, but as the experiments were replicated by others, the findings went from being a hoax to being a breakthrough. In essence, the combustion of salt water was found to be possible through the exposure of a bath of the water to high frequency and powered radio waves. As the waves were exposed to the water, combustion occurred, and the water gave off heat energy, which could be harnessed and used in a form of an internal combustion engine.

The use of this technology in wide scale transportation may have some limitations, but the viability is certainly realistic. Additionally, the implementation into vehicles has already been done with some degrees of success by individuals, although the biggest limitation that has been found thus far has been the weight of the vehicle. If a smaller, lightweight vehicle is powered by the water combustion engine, the results are amazing – the amount of power generated could push the vehicle into the range of power output normally reserved for sports cars.

The reality of water power as a means of transportation may still be a little further into the future, but the current technologies being developed are highly promising and are certainly looking like better possibilities every day. If we can harness the use of water as a fuel source for our transportation, the energy crisis we consider ourselves to be in at this point may be over for a long time to come.
